The Prince of Wales Plans to Join COP30 Climate Summit in South America

The Prince of Wales is scheduled to attend the United Nations climate conference in South America next month, as confirmed by palace sources.

The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a reception ahead of the environmental conference, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belem.

The royal pair were in attendance at the museum gathering, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a environmental conference preliminary meeting co-hosted by the UK government.

Climate Leadership Dedication

King Charles has been a consistent supporter of environmental conservation - and Prince William has inherited the mission, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be taking place in South America before the UN meeting.

Royal sources have characterized Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as assuming an important role in "climate diplomacy".

Previous Activities

The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the official car, were greeted attendees such as conservation experts, scientists, climate change campaigners, foreign representatives and government officials.

This engagement featured addresses together with French leader Macron of the French Republic and other world leaders at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in Monaco during the current year.

The climate conference will coincide with the prince's own sustainability recognition program, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the previous day he attends the COP summit on 6 November.

In recent days the prince referred to the prize competitors as "contemporary champions".
